AIDS drugs cut off for Va. ADAP patients : Washington Blade – Gay News

"Smooth as gravy." That is what they said this transition would be. Even the PSI conversion was suppose to be completed by now.

No follow up and no support. Nice very Nice. Just call this number.. you do all the work. we will not tell you what is wrong only it is wrong.

Oh by the way, since you are no longer in the "system" we can not let you back in. Do not care you were in the system. You are out now and we can not service your needs. Please try again when we decide to open our services again. You are to healthy. Go away and you are not a client.

Now the very thing they said would not happen. Happened. People being denied medical treatment, service and life saving drugs just because of an politically selected level of "physical health" status.

This is what the health care law was to prevent. Politicians, actuaries and insurance agents deciding who gets what medical care based on profit motivations and not social welfare or compassion.

But in this election environment, each Republican is trying to out do the other in how conservative or harsh they can be. The old "look at me I am better - I did this" has come to roost in VA and the nation at large.

So hang on people for by the time, they get things sorted out, the damage will have been done and we will once again pay the social costs like we did in the 1990's - uncaring politicians and apathetic public.
