Religion, Politics, Morality all played their part in the early days of HIV/AIDS. The problem now is not to rewrite what happened then or deny it but to understand that what has happened is now happening again here and now.
People are being denied care, medicines and support because of others are marginalizing their right to live. All for the same reasons and from the same sources again.
But remember for everyone being tested poz without support,will be marginalized and stigmatized and alone. Money, case workers, doctors are all fine but if there is no social support or follow ups then all it does not mean jack.
After the ASO/Caseworker/Public Health go home, all the fundraisers, all the pretty shows, and organizations do not matter, when you are alone with no one to talk to, see, touch or hear your fears, troubles, hopes and dreams. This is the real tragedy of HIV/AIDS.
