Why stop the Republicans???? To them any funding for people with HIV/AIDS is a perversion of the American way. Their minds are closed to any but the biggest - fattest wallet and most closed minded conservative social agenda. They truly think that all HIV/AIDS funding, research should be stopped.
"Let them all die."
That way the American society will be spared the moral crossing of the eyes when their child ask why someone is.....????
The general public believes HIV/AIDS is not a personal/social issue so why fund it with their dollars?? Most of them believe that is the other person's problem or it can not happen to them. AND if it does happen, then someone will pay their way for the rest of their lives.
So it is a small wonder the funding for Ryan White will be cut. People will lose their jobs, agencies will close and ADAP will end. People will begin to die again.
Even maintaining the existing levels of funding will cause more harm than good.
All because a few want to cut the program. What is a few million dollars to a several trillion debt and a 2 wars??
Want to change things???
Get on your congressman's backside and call/write and get involved. The national election cycle is upon us.
The crazy stuff is just beginning.
